This Privacy Policy explains how Weyt (“Weyt”, “the app”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use the app.

Information We Collect

Weyt is a weight tracking app. Depending on how you use the app, it may store the following information:

  • Weight entries, dates, notes, body fat percentage, body measurements, and calculated body mass index.
  • Weight goals, goal dates, goal status, target weight, start weight, and final weight.
  • App settings such as preferred units, onboarding status, height, and gender.
  • Subscription and purchase status for optional Pro features.
  • Information you provide when contacting support by email.

Weyt does not collect contacts, photos, videos, precise location, calendar data, audio, public profile data, public posts, comments, or social media data.

Local Storage and iCloud Sync

Weyt stores app data locally on your device. If iCloud is available and enabled for the app, Weyt syncs app data using Apple CloudKit in your private iCloud database. This may include weight entries, body metrics, goals, and app settings.

CloudKit private database data is associated with your Apple account and is handled by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy and iCloud terms. We do not operate a separate account system for Weyt.

HealthKit and Apple Health

Weyt may use Apple HealthKit with your permission. HealthKit access is optional and controlled by Apple permission prompts and Apple Health settings.

When enabled, Weyt may save and delete body mass, body fat percentage, and body mass index samples in Apple Health. Weyt does not use HealthKit data for advertising, tracking, or sale to third parties.

You can manage HealthKit permissions at any time in the Apple Health app or iOS Settings.

Purchases and Subscriptions

Weyt offers optional Pro features through Apple in-app purchases. Purchases are processed by Apple using StoreKit. Weyt also uses RevenueCat to manage subscription status, receipt validation, entitlement status, purchase restoration, and related subscription functionality.

RevenueCat may receive subscription-related identifiers, receipt data, device or app technical information, and purchase status. Weyt does not send your weight entries, body measurements, notes, goals, or HealthKit data to RevenueCat.

How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Provide weight tracking, goal tracking, history, charts, and related app features.
  • Sync your app data across your devices through your private iCloud database.
  • Save or delete selected body metrics in Apple Health when you enable HealthKit integration.
  • Manage optional Pro subscriptions and restore purchases.
  • Respond to support requests.
  • Maintain app functionality, reliability, and security.

We do not use your information for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.

Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information.

Information may be processed by the following providers only as needed to provide app functionality:

  • Apple, for iCloud/CloudKit sync, Apple Health, StoreKit, App Store purchases, and iOS platform services.
  • RevenueCat, for subscription management and purchase status.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or services.

Data Retention

Weyt keeps app data for as long as you keep it in the app or in your iCloud account. You can delete individual entries or goals in the app where deletion tools are available. Weyt also provides an in-app Delete All Weyt Data option that deletes Weyt weight history, goals, notes, body measurements, and resets profile settings stored by the app.

Data synced to your private iCloud database is controlled by you through the app, your Apple account, and iCloud settings. We cannot directly access or manually delete records from your private iCloud database outside the app. Apple may retain some information according to Apple’s own policies.

Subscription and purchase records may be retained by Apple and RevenueCat as needed for purchase validation, restoration, legal compliance, and accounting.

Deletion and Export Requests

You can contact us at info@amikos.io to request help with deletion or export questions.

Because Weyt uses your private iCloud database and does not operate its own user account system, we cannot access, export, or delete your private iCloud records from our support systems. Deletion and export must be performed from your device, from data available to the app, or through Apple account, iCloud, Apple Health, and device settings.

Using Weyt’s in-app deletion tools while iCloud sync is enabled may sync those deletions to your private iCloud database. Weyt’s Delete All Weyt Data option is limited to Weyt app data and does not delete Apple Health data. Apple Health data is managed separately in the Apple Health app or iOS Settings. If Weyt provides export tools in the app, exports are generated on your device from data available to the app. We will respond to support requests and provide reasonable guidance where technically possible.

Your Choices

You can:

  • Disable iCloud for Weyt in iOS settings, where available. Depending on your iOS version, this may be under Settings > Apple Account > iCloud > Apps Using iCloud.
  • Manage iCloud data through Apple account and iCloud storage settings.
  • Manage HealthKit permissions in Apple Health or iOS Settings.
  • Delete entries or goals in the app where deletion tools are available.
  • Delete all Weyt app data using the in-app Delete All Weyt Data option.
  • Cancel or manage subscriptions through your Apple account subscription settings.
  • Contact us with privacy requests at info@amikos.io.

Children

Weyt is not directed to children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us at info@amikos.io.

International Data Transfers

Apple and RevenueCat may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Their processing is governed by their respective privacy policies and legal terms.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above.
